Hmm, background, background...maybe Izumo, after the Serpent is defeated? The lighting somehow reminds me of festival lights, so...but yeah, that might be a bit complicated.

Ohhh, me like. For criticism, her hand looks weird and malformed.
For the background: How about a stone built city? Maybe some stalls in the background in front of large towering rows of houses?

To me this looks like a down->up angle. It might pay off of to not show the streets at the bottom and instead show the sky above the building top. It would make it hard to show the stalls though.
